Help From Peter Virdee, a Philanthropist, Redeveloped the Oriental City of London

B&S Property, located in Mayfair, bought the site in Colindale when the previous owners went bankrupt, according to Peter Virdee, managing director.

Before getting into real estate, the Sikh entrepreneur worked for his family's retail business and built residential care facilities. He maintains a wide range of foreign interests with the help of his father, and he has been nominated for a Lloyds TSB Asian Jewel commerce award. Despite the economic downturn and property recession, Mr. Virdee declared today that the Oriental City idea will move forward, adding, "It would be ludicrous to say that recent events have had no impact." It is being proposed to take a phased approach. Traders will be the first to return because the market will be the first component of the site to be developed.

According to Peter Virdee, the residential component will be a wait-and-see issue. It would be sensible to delay building until the housing market improves in the current circumstances.

The "Real Chinatown," as it was called, was a shrine for fans of Oriental food and was home to traders from the Chinese, Japanese, Malay, Thai, and Filipino communities.

The idea to restore the run-down food hall aroused controversy since it would force the vendors to evacuate the premises while the work was done. The Commission for Racial Equality and the Chinese government both supported the shops' case, but the redevelopment proposal was eventually approved in March when former mayor Ken Livingstone provided a £2 million compensation package to the displaced traders. The original owner, Development Securities, was given permission to build a larger market, two major merchants, 520 one- and two-bedroom flats, and a primary school.

Mr. Peter Virdee, on the other hand, told the Standard that the project is still on schedule and that demolition work will start shortly.

Virdee Foundation's Mr. Peter Virdee claimed, "We own the location, and there are no financial concerns." "Everything is in good working order." All we need now is the council's final permission (Barnet). The devastation might start in the next weeks."

“I am Very Happy to See the Vision of Bhagwant Singh Maan for Punjab” says Peter Virdee

Peter Virdee is a Mayfair-based philanthropist and businessman. He believes in returning to society what he has received. Mr. Virdee claims that his trust in God has helped him become who he is today. He became more enthused about philanthropic work after meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan last week.

If the government takes steps to improve the state of Punjab and its people. He, like the NRI community, is always there for the cause. If the government establishes a fund and invests a certain amount, the NRI community gives twice as much.

“I am very happy to see the vision of Maan Sahab (the CM Of Punjab Bhagwant Singh Maan) towards the development of Punjab. His vision, his knowledge and his understanding of Punjab is really good” says Peter Virdee.

"See the idea I have seen truly astonished me, and really I haven't thought about it previously," Mr. Peter Virdee says while meeting Mr. Bhagwant Singh Maan, Punjab's Chief Minister. His vision is very clear. We spoke about a lot of things that I can't divulge right now, but they'll make a tremendous impact when they're implemented."

His meeting with Mr. Bhagwant Maan is beneficial. They discussed Punjab's progress as well as the current situation of NRIs in Punjab. Mr. Peter is worried about Punjab's growth, and he advised the Punjab’s Chief minister to choose some of the top businesspeople to run the province's development as a business, rather than using the chance to forward a political agenda.

Mr. Virdee also shared his own memory that describes how difficult it is to be an NRI in this country.

Mr. Peter Virdee, on the other hand, has consistently advocated for the improvement of Sikhs and Punjab, while facing several challenges. Despite having strong ties with all governments, I am forced to sell my land for 25% less than the market value. However, Mr. Bhagwant Singh Maan assures him that the standing of NRIs in Punjab would improve in the future, and they will not be misled by their people.

Mr. Peter Virdee was filled with optimism and praise for the Maan Government in Punjab after his meeting with the CMO. Mr. Peter expressed his support for Punjab's Chief Minister and stated that the province's united efforts will undoubtedly make a difference.

Seeing these folks assisting children and mothers is quite valuable. This is a must-see attraction in Punjab. If you're donating money to the Gurudwara and impoverished people, you should also consider donating to this organization."

Before getting back to the UK, Mr. Peter Virdee received felicitation by the World Punjabi Organization in Delhi at a Diner reception. He also helped people residing in UK where his foundation collaborated with Midland langar Sewa & Society, and Emile Heskey to provide hot meals and beverages to the poor in the United Kingdom. Mr. Peter Virdee also contributed to renovating the Central Gurudwara of London.

WORK BEGINS of THE VIRDEE SCHOOL

Peter Virdee Foundation : We are pleased to announce a new partnership with the charity Children in Crisis, in which we are funding the construction of a new school in Bibangwa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Located a three-hour walk from the nearest road on the eastern plateau of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the children of Bibangwa are on the verge of isolation. They do not receive any help or investment from the government or other organizations.

The current school of wattle and daub, built by a resourceful community desperate for their children to learn, has sadly been ruined by the torrential rains of the Plateau. Thanks to the support of the Peter Virdee Foundation, Children in Crisis can now partner with the parents of Bibangwa to build a new durable six-class school for their children. Virdee School will be community owned and community operated. It will be a safe and dry place where future generations of children can take the opportunity to learn.
